Hurricane Milton damaged all 27 facets of this 69-square St. Petersburg clay tile roof. After a core test ruled out a code-compliant spot repair, the roof was rebuilt tile off, tile on as a Verea Clay S Barrel system in the Fume mix over 2-ply Polyglass underlayment, with color-matched mortar and full property protection.

Hurricane winds took the roof and storm flooding gutted the main level of a waterfront home. One company rebuilt both: a full shingle re-roof over a re-nailed deck, then 568 feet of flood cut, 72 sheets of drywall, and a whole-home refinish.

Hurricane Milton broke a glazed blue clay tile roof that has been out of production for two decades, and the manufacturer confirmed in writing it can never be made again. The answer was a full conversion to standing seam aluminum.

The documentation standard
Every case study follows the same structure, because every project generates the same records. Six sections, each held to what the record supports.
What the inspection found: deck condition, drainage behavior, the existing assembly, and the failures that prompted the project, recorded before any product discussion.
The options that genuinely fit the building, what each one traded off, and why the owner chose the system that was installed.
The assembly as installed (insulation, attachment, membrane or covering, edge and penetration details), not just a product name and a color.
What the building imposed: occupancy during the work, weather windows, access limits, phasing, and how the plan handled each one.
What was verified during the build and at what stage: deck acceptance, seam or fastening checks, detail inspections, caught while correction was still possible.
What the owner held at the end: the documentation set, the final condition record, and the maintenance baseline for the roof going forward.

The publication gate
A full case study publishes only after two things exist in the record: written permission covering the client, the property, and the photographs, plus source documentation for every published fact.
Unknown facts stay unpublished rather than estimated. The four documented case studies at the top of this page come straight from our own project records, with the client's details redacted. The gallery records show verified project albums, titles, and locations; their full narratives publish here as client permission and records clear review, accountable to the standard above.
