Ground-level checklist
Build a roof observation record
Check only what you can see safely from stable ground. The tool turns your selected observations and notes into a clean summary to print or copy for any contractor. It is your record, not a K. Simon assessment.
Stay on stable ground. Do not climb a ladder, step onto a roof, lean from a window, or enter any unsafe area for this checklist. If an area cannot be seen safely, record that limit. A contractor can document what the ground cannot show.
Build the record
Write down what you can actually observe
The checklist follows the same field, detail, drainage, and access questions as the inspection guide. Check only visible conditions and leave causes or conclusions for documented inspection.
Check only what you can see
Leave an item unchecked when it is not visible or not observed. Unchecked never means confirmed absent.
Notes remain on this page only. They are not saved or transmitted.
Notes for any contractor
My ground-level summary
No observations are checked yet. The summary will list only the items you select.
Additional notes
No additional notes recorded.
This is your observation record, not a K. Simon assessment. It does not confirm damage, identify a cause, diagnose a roof, or replace an inspection.
Bring the notes, then ask for evidence
Share this summary with any contractor. Ask what they physically examined, what they could not reach, and for photographs tied to each finding and location.
